Government Encourages Supporting Industries
Supporting industries play a key role in promoting the development of main industries in Vietnam. Furthermore, Vietnam has great potential in developing service industries, given its strengths in
labor availability and absorption of new technologies. As such, the Vietnamese government recently issued a number of policies to encourage supporting industries, especially those connected to high-tech.
Each eligible project to manufacture supporting industry products (including materials, spare parts, accessories and semi-finished products) can government incentives described in this article.
Specifically, the government aims to develop the supporting industries of:
- Mechanical engineering;
- Electronics & informatics;
- Manufacturing and assembly of automobiles;
- Textiles and garments;
- Leather-footwear; and
- Supporting industries for high-tech industry development.
