The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has officially halted its investigation into steel rolls imported from Vietnam, as reported by Vietnam’s Trade Remedies Authority under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The DOC announced its decision on April 30, concluding the anti-dumping probe that began on August 7, 2023.
Dexstar Company, a U.S. entity, had petitioned the DOC to review steel rolls produced in Vietnam using Chinese components. These rolls fell under the scope of anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders imposed by the U.S. on similar Chinese products.
After reviewing gathered information and documents, the DOC declared its intent to cease the investigation on March 15, 2024.
